Time Commitment: Flexible (Minimum of 1 hour per week)

Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Listening Supporters to join our team. These individuals will take calls from women who book a session with us, providing emotional support and guidance. The ideal candidate will be technically adept, especially with online meetings, and committed to helping Muslim women in need. The objective of the role is to provide immediate relief to muslim women who are in emotional pain.
Responsibilities:
Respond to calls from women who book sessions through our online platform.
Provide a listening ear and emotional support in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.
Utilise Google Meet for virtual calls, ensuring a smooth and efficient connection.
Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of all callers.
Record and report any safeguarding issues or concerns that arise during calls.
Participate in regular training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Adhere to Maryam Support Line’s Ethics code and other policies.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and empathetic, with a commitment to supporting Muslim women.
Technically adept, particularly with online meeting platforms such as Google Workspace.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Previous experience in a support role or similar environment is preferred.
Reliable internet connection and a quiet, private space for conducting calls.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with Islam and cultural factors which can influence mental health.
