Who are we?
At Maryam Support Line, we are a compassionate team of volunteers from diverse backgrounds, all united in our mission to support Muslim women. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, with ethnicities and locations as varied as UK, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, and even Mauritius. We know that while the Muslim community is vast, it can feel small when you're concerned about privacy. Rest assured, we understand your concerns. If you're nervous about speaking to someone you may know, we're happy to share the name of the volunteer you'll be speaking with for your peace of mind, just reply with to your booking email and we will share that with you. Your comfort and confidentiality are our top priorities.
What can you talk about?
At Maryam Support Line, you can talk to us about anything—whether it's something small or something big, without any fear of judgment. You're not being ungrateful for wanting to discuss an area of your life that’s weighing on you. Pain and discomfort are real, and your feelings are valid. Our callers reach out to us for many reasons, from loneliness, trauma, marital issues, and homelessness to financial difficulties, unrequited love, or challenges with a difficult child. We speak to Muslim women facing a wide range of issues, and nothing is ever too small or too big for us to listen to. Rest assured, your conversation remains private and confidential. Talking to someone about what you're going through can offer much-needed relief and give you the strength to carry on with a renewed sense of hope and optimism.
Where do calls take place?
Our calls are held over Google Meet. Once you make a booking, you’ll receive a link to join, and we’ll send it to you again 5 minutes before your scheduled call. Although we are a UK-based organisation, we are happy to take calls from anywhere in the world. Our services are currently offered in English, with the hope of expanding to multiple languages soon. Rest assured, our calls are not recorded and remain completely confidential. Your privacy and peace of mind are our priority.
